Given that the hair growth cycle takes a few months, you can probably guess that this is how long it will take before you will see results. Most clients report thicker feeling hair after 3 months, although exact timeframes will vary from person to person.

What is minoxidil?

Minoxidil is a medical treatment for hair loss. We are not sure of its exact mechanism, but we know that it increases hair growth by the following actions:
 - It increases blood flow to hair follicles.
 - It stimulates and prolongs the growth stage of the hair cycle.
 - It increases the size and diameter of hair follicles.

What is finasteride?

Finasteride is an alpha-5 reductase inhibitor. This is an enzyme that turns testosterone into di-hydrotestosterone (DHT) which can cause both male and female pattern hair loss. Finasteride blocks the enzyme that makes DHT and therefore reduces hair loss.

Can anyone have finasteride?

No. Because finasteride acts on male sex hormones, it is not safe for pre or peri-menopausal women. Because of these limitations, I only add finasteride to my product following a consultation.

Are there any side effects from using minoxidil?

Like most medicines, Daly Hair Growth Lipo-Gel™ can have some side effects, although not everyone gets them. Potential side effects include:

- Itching and/or skin irritation of the scalp at the site of application.
 - Blood pressure changes.
 - Dizziness.
 - Fast or irregular heartbeat.
 - Blurred vision or other changes in vision.
 - Increased hair loss.
 - Chest pain.
 - Weight gain (rapid).
 - Fainting.
 - Swelling of face, hands, feet, or lower legs.
 
If you experience any of these side effects stop using the product and seek medical guidance.

What about finasteride?

Occasionally, men taking finasteride experience changes in their sexual function. This includes symptoms such as erectile dysfunction, decreased libido and ejaculatory dysfunction. Stopping treatment usually leads to the resolution of these symptoms in over 99% of patients.

Other rare side effects of finasteride include testicular pain, depression and breast tissue growth/tenderness. This is why finasteride will only be added to your Daly Hair Growth Lipo-Gel™ following a consultation.

What happens if I forget to apply it one day?

Don’t worry if you forget to use the treatment one day. Although continuous use is recommended for the best results, it takes about three to four months for regrown hair to disappear once treatment is stopped. Therefore, forgetting to apply the treatment for one day is unlikely to have an impact on your hair coverage.

In the event that you forget to apply Daly Hair Growth Lipo-Gel™ one day, do not double the dose to make up for the ones you missed. Instead, take it as normal the following day.

What would happen if I stopped using Daly Hair Growth Lipo-Gel™?

Topical hair loss treatments work through consistent use so if you decide to stop using Daly Hair Growth Lipo-Gel™ you will most likely lose the hair that you have regrown, but you shouldn’t expect any adverse side effects.

This is a common question, especially if you have long hair. The good news is that Daly Hair Growth Lipo-Gel™ does not cause residue or greasiness to the scalp due to the liposomal gel base which leads to quick absorption. So you can use the product morning and evening without changing your hair wash routine!
